Stuff

The apartment includes all crockery (both everyday and posh stuff so you can choose what to use according to whether you are receiving guests or noshing quickly before going out on the town). There is also a dishwasher in the kitchen to assist with the clear up. The sink in the kitchen itself (not the little one in the cupboard) has an extendable shower head tap which is handy but the dishwasher takes the strain.

There are communal laundry facilities on site (about 20 paces across the car park) which are free of charge but you will need to supply detergent.

There is a supermarket, Janet's, in town and it takes about 10 minutes to walk down there. A cab back will cost about $3 which is well worth it if you're stocking up. The petrol station located about 2 minutes' walk in the other direction sells plenty of snacks, general food stuffs, and alcohol for a swift replen.

Next door to the apartments you will find an RCI timeshare development which serves a great choice of breakfast and evening meal for a nominal sum. There is also a bar on that site, right on the beachfront, and serving all the usual goodies. It makes for a handy local if you just want a few quick coctails (or many very quick coctails during their happy hours each night) before retiring for the night.

A journey into town takes about 20 minutes on foot along the beach or road although a cab will only set you back about $5. Cabs can be sought easily from outside the RCI place next door so you don't have to walk far to find one.
